Stress coaching

Stress coaching is simply about reducing stress in your everyday life. Everyone experiences stress differently, and we have different resilience to this phenomenon. In stress coaching, we work completely tailored to the individual, based on your needs and desires. The starting point is that you yourself possess knowledge about your own situation, but you are coached and challenged to find the right tools to create a sustainable everyday life.

How does stress coaching work?

During the first visit, we together map out what causes stress for you and how you react to it. Then, we devise a plan for how we will work together and how you can work on your own between our sessions. The sessions consist of discussions but can also include relaxation exercises and tactile massage, which help calm down a stressed nervous system. In the conversations, you'll receive practical exercises suggestions on how to change both habits and thought patterns. You need to try out what you need to feel good.

How many visits are required?

It's impossible to say how many visits are needed to consider a treatment complete. This is because as humans, we constantly push our boundaries, encounter new situations, and react in different ways. The treatment is complete when you feel you've acquired methods to manage your situation. And as with most other problem states, it's easier to address it the earlier you start working on it. The minimum number of sessions you can book is 3, each session lasting one hour.

Beena has been a social worker since 2004 and has worked for several years in family work within social services in Malmö and Copenhagen.
Besides her Bachelor of Science in Social work, she has training as a Stress educator with a cognitive focus, training in MI (Motivational Interviewing), and in Mindfulness with a focus on stress management.
The sessions can be held in Swedish, English or Danish.
