Practical information

At Highersense Hot Yoga Lund, we offer offer three types of classes:

  • Warm: Experience a gentle heat of approximately 30-32°C (86-89.6°F), perfect for a soothing and relaxing practice.
  • Hot: Challenge yourself with temperatures ranging from 36-40°C (100.4-104°F), designed to deepen your practice and promote detoxification.
  • Normal room temperature: For those who don’t prefer heat, we have classes in a regular room temperature.

Starting with warm classes helps you adjust to the cozy temperature. Moving to hotter classes at 40 degrees requires focus and regular practice for adaptation. Take breaks to refocus if overwhelmed, but stay in the room during class.

For a better yoga session, remember to bring:

  • Yoga mat and towel: These are a must for cleanliness and safety. If you don’t have them, you can rent or purchase them at the studio.
  • Water bottle: Keep hydrated, especially in heated classes. Take small sips when needed to stay hydrated.
  • Padlock: We offer lockers for storing your valuables during class. Bring your own padlock for security or purchase one at the studio.
  • Attire: For optimal comfort, we recommend wearing tights or shorts paired with a tank top or functional material top. Avoid cotton fabrics.
  • The doors are opened 25 minutes before your class starts for check-in and prep time.
  • The doors are locked 5 minutes before your class starts for security.
  • After your session, feel free to use our shower facilities to refresh yourself.
  • Please book your spot in advance using our online system.
  • If your plans change, make sure to cancel your booking at least 8 hours before class. This helps others attend and keeps class sizes manageable.

About hot & warm yoga

Warm and hot yoga are both great for your body and mind:
Muscle relaxation

Heat promotes muscle relaxation and flexibility, allowing for deeper stretches and improved mobility.

Oxygen supply

Increased circulation and oxygen supply to tissues help nourish the body and support overall health.

Eliminate toxins

Sweating during hot yoga helps eliminate toxins and impurities, leaving you feeling refreshed.

Reduce stress

The calming effect of heat can reduce stress and anxiety, promoting relaxation and inner peace.

To adapt to heat effectively, start with warm classes that help you get used to the cozy room temperature. It's a gentle way to realize that the warmth is actually quite pleasant. However, adjusting to Hot might take a bit more time. The 40-degree heat requires both calmness and concentration, especially during intense activity. To adapt better, try practicing regularly, ideally every day. If you feel overwhelmed by the heat, take a moment to sit down, gather yourself, and refocus. You'll find you can quickly get back into it. Remember not to leave the room during class.
